“There was a little girl / Who had a little curl / Right in the middle of her forehead”

Meet “Jacky” (as mentioned on the back of two of these photos found at a flea market in Paris), a little girl who was certainly very used to being photographed! Outdoors or within the decors of a studio, Jacky had fun singing and playing to music-loving hens and rabbits.  The studio seems at the same time very established (3 photos were taken in its decors, which saw ceremonious moments recording Jacky growing up) and improvised (one of the photos shows grass under the carpet, rivalling with its copy in the background panel).

These were the early 1940s and there was horror everywhere, but not in this little girl’s world.  Hopefully she stayed safe until the end…
